SukhoThai Sukhothai

Sukhothai truly lives up to the belief that an authentic Thai meal should be an ensemble of distinctive flavours. The menu carefully combines the freshness of lemongrass, mint and lime leaf with the aromatic tones of spices and the fierce bite of chilli and pepper. Light starters (the Thai fish cakes with dipping sauce and satay pinchitos are absolute musts), creative salads and fragrant soups are followed by a list of royal or traditional Thai main dishes, finished with an innovative and contemporary twist. We tried red hot curried prawns with basil, pineapple and coconut; green, yellow and red Thai curries; roasted duck served in spicy coconut milk with lychee and basil leaves; marinated beef fillet with ginger and spring onions; and a delicious pad Thai - but all dishes on the menu really sound and are, no doubt, as mouth-watering as these. Situated along Marbella’s Golden Mile, the setting at Sukhothai is cosmopolitan and chic. The modern interior and simple place settings work well with elegant features, such as green bamboo and Thai orchids. The service is second-to-none and reflects the sophisticated menu and attractive setting, making you want to return to Sukhothai time and time again.
