Promaga Living With Nature

Words by 01/09/2007

The Costa del Sol is now a well established tourist destination and brand known around the world but there are few areas along the Coast that can claim to have their own individual international identity. One is San Roque, a sprawling municipality at the western end of the Coast (actually in Cádiz province) which includes the Sotogrande macro-urbanisation and San Roque Golf Resort.

The latter has gained global renown in recent years, first as the venue for the European Tour Qualifying School (once again to be held there next month) and more recently as the host of two Spanish Opens.

But the resort is much more than a golf complex: with extensive social, commercial and other leisure amenities it has become a fully-integrated residential community - including the Promaga apartments featured here.

Set in one of the Coast's more select areas, they comprise three types: "Mansion", "Terraces" and "Sea View Drive" - built around two golf courses (San Roque Old and New) in a low-density development surrounded by the Parque de los Alconocales protected cork reserve.

Two, three and four-bedroom apartments are available (garden, duplex and penthouse); the development is gated with 24-hour security; and on-site facilities include restaurants and cafes, an equestrian centre, a clubhouse, a commercial centre, a health centre, a spa and pools - as well as polo and marina facilities in neighbouring Sotogrande, and 10 more golf courses within a four-minute drive.
