Jump to CommentsIt's hard not to pay attention to La Madrugada. Other home-owners might have something to say about it, but the mansion featured this month sets the agenda in as prepossessing a manner as the property itself: "rumoured to be the most beautiful house on the Costa del Sol".
The support for such a claim is impressive. Built in a Moorish-Spanish style, with authentic fountains and age-old tiles, the property is entered through imposing glass and wrought-iron doors to a courtyard flanked by 51 carved stone arches and stately palm trees.
A vaulted al fresco dining area, with capacity for 20 seated guests, is located to the side, and the French doors lead to the drawing room and through to extensive stone terraces overlooking stunning mature gardens, and a gazebo, pool and private lake. Obviously, it is no idle claim to say the house "lends itself to fabulous and capacious entertaining".
The ample accommodation comprises a master bedroom suite with separate dressing rooms and bathrooms, and four guest suites; while the house also includes three reception rooms, kitchen and pantry, breakfast room and gym. There is a separate staff or guest wing with two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, sitting room and patio; and garaging for three cars.
Situated in a private 40,000 square metre estate - home to abundant wildlife - the property is four kilometres from the sea, between Puerto Banús and Estepona and just minutes from top hotels and restaurants.
This exceptional location ensures the property has complete privacy - and superb mountain and sea views.
