Parsifal III

The fulfilment of two experienced yacht owners' six-year dream, Parsifal III is also proving to be a fantasy come true for those seeking ultimate boating pleasure.

The Camper & Nicholsons website declares that, "Parsifal III is taking the charter market by storm" - which is perhaps an unfortunate claim considering they're talking about a super ketch that sails the high seas. And especially so because the boat was forced to pull up anchor early during its latest visit to Marbella, in advance of a looming autumn storm.
Storms aside, however, there is certainly ample evidence to justify the company's description of Parsifal III as "the most sought-after and versatile sailing yacht on the charter market". Acclaimed as the fastest Perini Navi launched, she has a modern aluminium hull complemented by an "upbeat contemporary design", and includes such features as: aft deck Jacuzzi; wireless Internet; teppinyaki barbecue; modula seating in the saloon; DVD library with large selection of films; two Waverunners, diving locker (for eights sets of gear) and waterskis; an array of sunning and entertainment areas; and 6.5-metre and 5.6-metre Novurania tenders.
Sailing with a crew of nine, her cruising area is the Caribbean (in winter) and eastern and western Mediterranean (summer), and she has capacity for 12 guests in five or six cabins: an owner's suite with saloon (which can be divided into two independent doubles); two permanent doubles; and two permanent twin cabins with pullman. Each cabin has en suite facilities.
Named after an Arthurian knight, Parsifal III is the result of a modern-day quest by sailing veterans Kim and Nina Vibe-Petersen. Their Holy Grail was a luxurious super-yacht that epitomised the best design, was perfect in all aspects of its build, and provided performance under sail that could rival any yacht of her type. They found fellow shining knights in Italian builder Perini Navi and brokers Camper & Nicholsons. And the result, according to a review in Boat International, are all the hallmarks of a Perini Navi: "...a classically proportioned ketch whose powerful hull displays a seamanlike bow and a long, elegantly curved sheer line that runs aft over a pleasingly proportioned freeboard to a half-moon of forward-raked transom. The stylishly rounded deckhouse is topped by a flying bridge that extends oft to a long sundeck providing shade for the guest cockpit below." Furthermore, notes Boat International, "performance is a notch higher than any of the company's previous vessels".
