prêt-à-porter

Hot on the heels of the launch of their flagship prêt-à-porter boutique in Marina Banús, Elle present a subtle and stylish collection for spring/summer, featuring a decidedly French feel.
With a hint of Rive Gauche nonchalance and seemingly effortless style, the collection is in perfect harmony with the understated Parisian style that currently dominates the catwalk.
The season begins with a fresh and light feel to set the mood for spring. Perforated leather jackets are worn over bright striped knits and floral or heart-print skirts.
Iconic pieces like the trench coat have been shortened and re-worked to enhance the feminine boyishness of the start of the season. Timeless colours - light grey, baby blue, fawn or beige - are adopted for these classic pieces.
Shorts and fitted knee-length trousers are a centrepiece and, worn with heels, lend a sexy and feminine touch. Silhouettes are loose and soft, or sharp and lean - but never in between. Overshirts in cotton silk are worked with super-skinny nude tinted jeans or can be worn as a dress with bare legs and high heels.
The must-have item for this summer is the dress. From the bustier dress, through the glamorous "Marilyn" day dress in silk jersey, to the strapless mini, the dress is whatever you want it to be: sophisticated, super-feminine, chic or romantic.
All in all, Elle's prêt-à-porter collection re-masters the art of the dress code, playfully making the formal informal with fine fabrics and affordable prices.
Dutch design duo Oscar Raaijmakers & Süleyman Demir have created a collection that is distinctive, inspiring and accessible.
