Sixties-inspired chic

Loewe's spring/summer collection 2007 pays respect to the legacy of Pierre Cardin and André Courréges. Each print has been drawn from the fashion house's archives, with subtle re-interpretations in novel proportions.
Tunic dresses, kimono sleeves and squared edges reflect a sixties look; and a feeling of rock 'n' roll spreads through the collection in asymmetrical dresses and zips.
The purest form of cotton brings a retro theme into 2007, while linen, cotton, nappa and crocodile also have their own special place in the collection.
Summer colour is featured in the total white canvases; pastel colours exude sunshine with pistachio, coffee, cream and ivory; and pink and orange run through the floral prints. Space-age vibrations stem from the white pipings; ultra-light suede is turned inside-out on a poncho; and yesterday's prints are now embroidered in futuristic silver.
Harking back to the chic sixties for inspiration, the collection is finished with a fresh and elegant twist.
