Retro Revival
With spring now with us, H&M have introduced a collection inspired by the \'50s, \'60s and \'70s. According to H&M\'s head designer, it\'s all about looking "attractive; chic, sweet, sexy - and comfortable".
The retro look is always feminine, with \'50s styles including pencil skirts, blouses and ballroom dresses. The \'60s inspiration presents couture shapes and clean lines - boxy jackets, tulip skirts, shift dresses and collarless coats - while suits, shirts and trench coats are key pieces for the men.
For the \'70s smart and sexy is the aim, focusing on hips and neck lines. Clothes are slightly smaller but never tight. Jersey shirts and dresses are a main feature of the collection, as are long wide trousers, blazers, fine knitwear and, continuing last year\'s trend, floaty dresses and couture blouses. Then you can accessorise with handbags or shoulder bags, sunglasses, bangles, couture or fine knit scarves.
Spring\'s retro revival is essentially about inspiration - shapes, fabrics and colour are all still contemporary. As H&M note, "We aren\'t ready to let go of 20th century fashion yet - there\'s still much to explore."

New "M line by Madonna" Following the lead of various designers who have collaborated with H&M, Madonna will be introducing to the store her signature fashion collection "M by Madonna".
H&M and Madonna have joined together to create a line of clothing which reflects Madonna\'s celebrated style, modern elegance and femininity. The aim is to provide fashion for people who love fashion combined with classic pieces or style.
The range includes glamorous tops, tailored blazers, shirt dresses and kimono-shaped dresses; and the entire line is embellished with an "M" logo appearing on zippers, buttons and linings - and also on accessories such as sunglasses, belts and bags.
The range is primarily in neutral colours such as black, white, grey and khaki, so this look can be worn season to season for a stylish, sophisticated look.
This "dream team" collaboration began last year when H&M designed a line of off-stage clothing for Madonna\'s entire touring troupe: dancers, crew members and the "Material Girl" herself.
