Andrés Sardá presents a new concept in luxury swimwear this summer with a collection of light, wearable, contemporary and elegant swimsuits and bikinis. The collection embraces Sardá's usual glamorous style but also concentrates on detailing, smaller features, and eye-catching shades and colours.
Each garment is subtly dyed to enhance embroidery and embellishing which accentuate the body and create a shapely silhouette. Faithful to his innovative spirit, Sardá has developed a collection of seamless, quick-drying garments which are comfortable and practical for swimming, sunbathing, lunch by the pool, at the beach, or on a yacht.
Another surprise from Sardá are the Ibizan-inspired pieces which feature broad "crochet" style detailing tied underneath the bust to flatter the figure. The detailing comes in traditional Ibizan white or, for an interesting contrast, in combinations of vibrant turquoise and brown. Marine motifs, asymmetrical watercolour textured stripes, cashmere, sequins, brightly coloured flowers and Hindu designs also feature; while Swarovski detailing - pieces made from coconut wood, metallic rings with a pearly finish, glass which looks like antique jewels and buckles - distinguish the collection.
Although patterns and print are at the forefront of the collection, there are also single-toned pieces in attractive colours such as bottle green, red and turquoise, and sophisticated shades including brown, black and white.
The most stunning pieces from Sardà include straps and bands beautifully appliquéd with small Swarovski crystals to join the top and bottom of trikinis, or to form a "net" of peals around the bikini cup. The intricate, elegant and versatile design means pieces can also be worn to glamorous special occasions. Each range includes complementary dresses, kaftans, shirts, tops, skirts, wraps and trousers to perfect the Sardá look.
